Nearly time to start preparing for filming. I’ve done several drafts of the script and I’m expecting some more feedback this week before I lock it. I’m beginning to get some crew on board. What I really need is a producer, someone around my age, with similar experience, who wants to be a producer and help me with the planning. I done both the directing and producing on my last film which made my days during production far too long (20 hr days are painful,).
The start of my script is looking like this now which I’m sure will change:
I predict we’ll be filming this next one on the 5D. I have £1,000 in the bank to spend on it if needed. The plan is if I can make a great 20min film for a grand or under; then I should be able to make a feature for £10,000 no problem. Ideally Id have more so that I can pay people but I doubt id be able to save up more than that – I could always try getting funding but mumbling and thinking too far ahead…..
