Ah well. A 2:2 (around a C grade) will be OK. I have a feeling that getting a University degree will make no difference in my chosen career. However it has given me 3 years to think about what I want to do and stopped me from getting a normal full time job.

  • For my Film drama (my film Feather) I got a – B+
  • For my World Cinema Exam I got a – C+
  • For my Animation I got a – E
  • For my Photography I got a C

All pretty OK apart from that random- E -I’m going to but my animation online at some point too next month. Now I’m at that scary place after University where you’ve got to decided what to with your life.  I’ll just see what happens,

I’m back after a month of film work. I’ve been pretty invisible online the past month partly due to long night shifts and my current lack of a smart phone.  The film set was great fun, hard work but fun and I’ve learnt a lot – there always seems to be so much to learn on every set I go on. I’m getting more confident with Script Supervising now although I don’t know if I’ll be able to freelance a living working on film sets just yet.

Currently I have no work on. I’ve made enough money this past month to survive July but I’m skint after that. I’m not too worried though there’s still 5 weeks left for me to make some work happen.  Getting a normal job at the moment might even be more difficult than freelancing. I think I’m going to sign up as self-employed in July (although I still need to read up about if this is the best idea). I’m just going to see what happens. That and I’m moving house next week (I’ve survived off University loans and pennies from a part time job the past year) this will be the first time I’m 100% responsible for paying all of my bills.

I’m sure I’ll find a way to make it all work out, 5 weeks to go before the money runs out…

Im sat on the couch of a hotel restaurant at 4am typing. It’s my night off for the week on the feature film I’m doing continuity for. It’s been a busy week and a little stressful at times- making films is a strange job- I wouldn’t call it glamorous but I would say that it is an adventurous one. I guess you have to be a little crazy to travel miles to work for a month with a bunch of strangers. To me one of the best things about making films is the people that you meet whilst you’re there. The crew on this film have been great fun to work with. Last week I even met Vernon Troyer.

The film is called ‘Convenience’ a heist comedy staring - Vicky Mcclure, Ray Panthaki and Adeel Akhtar. I don’t know what to do with my night off I start work again tomorrow at 7pm. I’m neither wake nor asleep. I think I might get a pint of cider and some crisps…

Ive just finished by first week working on a comedy feature film. It’s been great experience working on a professional set, we’re shooting on Red and the budget is small but it is the most professional feature film set I’ve been on.  I’m working night shoots working from 6pm-8am, 6 days a week. I’ve just starting to get my body clock used to the hours now.
