I went out to the city yesterday to take some more photos for my photography project. This time I thought I would try taking some in colour. All of my digital photographs have been taken with the Canon EOS mk 2. For my project I have to pick 30 of the best  shots out of all of my photos. I’m going to head out next week to get more, you never know what your going to get with street photography some days your more lucky than others.

My brother Terry Clarke designed this poster for my short film ‘Feather’. I’m so happy with it! I’m currently still in post production with Feather. I’m sending our Music Composer Stu Cowley over the locked footage now for him start working on. The film will be complete for my University Final year production at the end of this month; although I still intended to keep working on it in May with the films premier taking place more than likely around the start of June 2012.

More of my brothers work can be found at fidgt.co.uk

Last summer I worked as a runner on a set filming a promo trailer for a film called ’24 Weekers’. The film is currently raising money to be made into a full feature length film to raise awareness of babies being born 24 Weeks into pregnancy. You can watch the promo trailer that was shoot above.

The public can drive you mad whilst on a film set. As soon as people see the camera and lights – they think that there might be a celebrity about. It either plays that way or they think that the camera is filming them and come running on over demanding you to stop filming. The public is just another problem that needs to be solved on a film set, similar to the weather it can’t be helped and you never know what you’re going to get until you’re out there. Here’s a silly article I wrote on it maybe someone will find it useful…

I’m doing a photography course as part of my film production degree. I took some photos a few weeks ago on film but they came out all blurry. So I thought I could head out with a digital camera to get used to all of the Manual settings. These are the results, much better than last time but I still need more practice. I took a lot of photos so here are some of my favorite:

Of all jobs during film making I think syncing sound is the one I least look forward to. Since we recorded all audio separately from the camera all audio has to be matched up for each individual shot. For those who don’t know this is done by syncing up the sound of the clap the clapper board makes at the start or end of a shot, to the footage of the clapper board closing.

There where some scenes on trains where we where unable to use a clapper board – I’m not looking forward to syncing up those ones with dialogue. I’m going to get some help with sound from some foley artists too who have contacted me through this site. My university deadline is the 30th of April although I will keep working on the project until May to make sure it’s the best it can be..
